The use of threaded rivets makes it possible to obtain a detachable connection, which is very convenient in certain situations. To install threaded rivets, you can use the manual retainer, which is easy to do with your own hands.
For the manufacture of this homemade product you will need a piece of thick metal in which you need to drill a hole: on the one hand a larger diameter, and on the other hand a smaller one. The master drills the holes on a drilling machine.
Then, in the drilled holes, the master cuts the thread with a tap. You will also need to cut off two more pieces of a thick plate by drilling holes in them of the same diameter as in the first part.
The main stages of work
Next, an elongated nut is required: on the one hand, a trimmed bolt must be screwed into it, and on the other, a stud. Drill a hole for the thin bolt in the nut. And then it will be necessary to cut off two more pieces of a strip of metal.
And at the next stage, the master starts assembling a homemade device. All parts are connected in series with each other. You also need a spring.
Additionally, the master makes a metal case from previously cut strips of metal into which the assembled “knot” is placed. For convenience, a grinder handle is also used.
