Need a reliable, but at the same time - a simple table for the garage and home workshop? If you have materials and a tool, you can make it yourself without any problems. It turns out as a result of cheap and cheerful.
In this case, the author uses a classic combination - metal and wood. The main frame of the table is made of a profile pipe, and the countertop is wooden, assembled from boards (or you can use sheets of plywood 20 mm thick).
If there are no suitable boards to glue the countertop, you can buy a ready-made wooden board of the right size. Moreover, it is desirable that its thickness be at least 30 mm.
A profile pipe can be bought at the metal warehouse. And there you can cut the workpiece in size. This service is inexpensive. If the profile of the desired section is available in the required quantity, then a grinder will be required to cut the workpieces.
The main stages of work
First of all, the workbench frame is made. First, you need to weld the upper part from the profile pipe, on which the countertop will rest. Then the legs are welded and strapping is done.
Next, you need to clean the surface of the pipe and paint it with paint. After that, the countertop is attached on top. It will be necessary to make a marking and drill holes for fasteners. And then it remains only to treat the countertop with oil impregnation or cover it with stain and varnish.
