Need to remove bearings from the armature shaft, but there is no puller at hand? Then you can do this with a bench vise.
In this review, the author shows how to make a fixture for yews (while the fixture is suitable for yews of different sizes).
First of all, remove part of the vice with a movable sponge, screw and guide. In the yew housing and the guide itself, the master drills through holes.
A hole in the housing is needed in order to better fix the guide, since it will experience stress. As a fastener, a bolt with a nut is used.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, the author cuts a piece 100 mm long from a pipe with a diameter of 32 mm. In the workpiece, you need to drill a through hole with a diameter of 8 mm.
Next, in the profile plate, it is necessary to cut a groove of a V-shape. The master processes the inner edges with a file.
To the resulting "plug" you need to weld a piece of pipe with a diameter of 32 mm, cut earlier. We weld it at an angle of 90 degrees (perpendicular to the plate).
At the last stage, it remains only to paint the adapt, and you can proceed with the assembly.
Details on how to make a device for yews with your own hands (for dismantling bearings) can be found in the video on our website.
