How many unnecessary boxes are collected in the house with the aim of "maybe useful"? Packages from old mobile phones, perfumes, sweets are waiting for their "finest hour" - general cleaning. Meanwhile, from them you can make beautiful exclusive caskets. Which will not only be pleasing to the eye, but also fit well into the interior. They will serve as a worthy shelter for all kinds of little things: hairpins, pins, perfumes, cosmetics, jewelry.
To make a box you will need:
- paper box;
- PVA glue;
- silicone gun;
- black acrylic paint;
- acrylic pearl paint (bronze or gold);
- a small piece of fabric of the corresponding color;
- braid;
- threads, scissors, needle, pencil, ruler, brush;
- pasta of several types;
- beads, rhinestones.
The decoration of the casket inside.
Put the box on the bottom of the fabric and circle. Add 0.5-1 cm to the resulting contour - these are allowances for the seams. Cut out the bottom.
Using a ruler, measure the height and perimeter of the box and add 1-2 cm on each side. Transfer the resulting dimensions to the fabric and cut out.
Sew the fabric blanks along the perimeter of the bottom and sides.
Since the box will be painted, while you need to postpone the interior design and proceed to the design of the outer part.
Making the box outside.
In order to arrange the box outside, you must first lay out the side parts. To do this, you need to symmetrically arrange the pasta on the sides of the box and secure them with a glue gun. If you can’t visually distribute pasta, you can use a pencil. Or lay out on a flat surface the future pattern on an appropriate scale, and then transfer it to the side.
Decorate all sides of the box with a glue gun. Work carefully, as the pasta is brittle. After painting, their strength increases significantly. Pick up and attach the legs.
Put out the cover of the casket.

Paint the box black. This is convenient to do with spray paint. Allow the product to dry. If there are no stained places left, repeat the painting.
After complete drying, gently, with a brush, paint over all the reliefs of the casket. Allow to dry and apply paint repeatedly.
Allow the product to dry. Decorate the inside. Insert the sewn fabric cover and secure with PVA glue. Attach the tape around the perimeter with glue.
Now the surface of the box can be decorated with beads, ribbons and rhinestones.
Some tips.
It is not necessary to use black paint as a basis. Color, maybe any. It depends on your taste. Paint that is applied to the main, pearl (bronze or gold) can be applied with a sponge. While painting the base. Then the box will be lighter.
