Basket of newspapers

Good afternoon. Today we will make a basket of newspapers with you.
For this we need:
-Newspapers.
-Glue pencil or PVA.
- Knitting needle.
-Cardboard.
-Scissors.
-Pencil.
-Glass.
-Acrylic paint.
-Lac.
-Brush.
So, let's begin. To get started, take a newspaper and cut it into strips. I got strips 21 centimeters long and 8 centimeters wide.
Having cut the strips, we begin to make tubes. To do this, take a knitting needle, put it on top of the strip a little diagonally and begin to twist the tube, the tip of the newspaper will need to be glued.
You should get these tubes.
Put the tubules to the side. Now we take cardboard, a glass, a pencil and we will make the bottom of the basket. It is not necessary to take a glass, you can take something else that suits your size. I just want to make a small basket, so I took a glass.
We need to cut out two circles from cardboard, i.e. two bottoms for a basket.
We take one circle and one tube.
The tube must be bent.
We glue this bend to our bottom.
So we glue 8 tubes.
Take the second circle and glue it on top of the first circle.
So the basis for our basket is ready. These tubes will be the side edges of the basket. Now we take a tube, bend the tip and glue it to one edge of the basket.
We circle it through each horizontal tube, raising the edge up. The tip is also glued.
We do the next two rows according to the same principle, we only bend around the ribs from different sides.
Now is the time to use the glass again, insert it into the basket.
Further weaving continues in the same way as before. The last row will be at the edges of the wineglass.
Now you will need to cut off the extra length of the vertical tubes. We will cut the tubes not along the edge of the basket, but one centimeter above the edge, because we will need to glue the edges of the tubes and glue them inside.
So do with all the tubes, except for two. These tubes will be the basis for the handle of our basket and therefore the tubes should be opposite each other. We take out a glass.
We bend these tubes in the form of an arc and glue them together.
Now we will strengthen the handle of the basket, for this we take the tube, grease it with glue and wrap the handle. Allow the basket to dry.
The basket is almost ready, it remains only to paint it. We take acrylic paint, a brush and paint a basket. If the basket is not very smooth, then the shape can be adjusted as you need.
After the paint has dried, the basket will need to be varnished. You can use transparent varnish, or you can take Kusbak - varnish. In general, here's what we got.
