Beautiful wooden hot coasters can be an excellent gift for any holiday. These items, created with your own hands, will decorate any table and will certainly attract everyone's attention. Making original coasters is not at all difficult, just a little effort is needed.
Before starting work, it is necessary to prepare:
- six wooden blanks (they can be cut from plywood yourself or purchased in a specialized store);
- watercolor;
- a pencil;
- acrylic lacquer;
- brush with synthetic pile No. 3 (for coloring);
- a round brush with synthetic pile (for applying varnish);
- eraser;
- a device for burning;
- a container of water.
Having prepared everything you need, you can start creating coasters:

1. On the first blank with a pencil, draw a dahlia and a border along the edges;

2. On the second blank, draw a border and draw a rosehip flower;

3. On the third stand depict wild strawberries, daisies and a border;

4. On the fourth blank, draw raspberries and a border;

5. On the fifth stand, depict a branch of mountain ash, lingonberries and a border;

6. On the sixth blank, draw a dogrose and a border;

7. Turn on the burner and wait for its tip to heat up. Then gently burn out the contours of the dahlia and the border on the first workpiece;

8. Burn out the rest of the coasters, carefully drawing pencil outlines around the tip of the burner. Then turn off the device and remove all pencil lines with an eraser;

9. Prepare watercolors for work, slightly moistening them with water. Then color the stand, which shows the dogrose. To make the color more saturated, put several layers of paint on the flower petals. Fill the border with a light brown paint;

10. Color the second stand, which shows the berries of wild strawberries and chamomiles. On the leaves, mix green and yellow paint to achieve smooth color transitions;

11. Paint the dahlia blank. Paint the ends of the flower petals with white paint, and their main part with pink;

12. Then paint the workpiece on which a branch of rowan and lingonberry is burned;

13. Color the stand on which raspberries are burnt;

14. Paint the blank on which the rose hips are burned;

15. Wait until the stands are completely dry. Then brush with a layer of varnish;

16. Leave the blanks to dry for several hours until the varnish becomes completely transparent.

Beautiful hot coasters with flowers and berries are fully prepared. They can be handed to friends or relatives, because gifts made by yourself are especially appreciated by loved ones.
