Materials and stages of work
For the manufacture of this homemade product you will need a square steel plate, in the center of which you need to cut a hole with a diameter of 56 mm - this can be done by welding. After that, the surface of the plate must be cleaned with a grinding wheel.
Next, the outer surface of the steel sheet must be framed by three corners, welding them to the base, and a washer must be welded to the central hole. Then, two corners made of a metal strip must also be welded to the steel sheet. Two more pieces of reinforcement must be welded to these corners.
L-shaped corners of a steel plate (or "ears") serve to secure the base of the sheet to the grinder, and the fittings are necessary to fix the lower part of the power tool housing. To do this, you will additionally need to weld a U-clamp to the pieces of reinforcement.
Modifying the design
At the next stage, you need to cut another square steel sheet, equal in size to the base, and you do not need to make a central hole in it, since this will be a cover that is attached to the main structure using a bolted connection.
After that, it remains only to make the “legs” and cut a square window in the lid, to which it will be necessary to weld a piece of steel pipe with a diameter of 57 mm.
