If an old manual meat grinder, which you have not used for a long time, is littered at your place, do not rush to throw it away. She can be an excellent "donor" for the manufacture of useful homemade products. For example, from an old aluminum and stainless meat grinder you will get excellent vise (or clamp) and a pusher for potatoes.

We make a vise from an old meat grinder

As you know, a mounting clamp is already provided in the meat grinder itself, so you do not have to reinvent the wheel. First of all, we cut off the lower part of the meat grinder body and slightly process the place of cut with a flat file. As a result, we get a convenient and compact clamp, which is useful for fixing small workpieces.
To make a miniature vise for the workshop, it will be necessary to weld sponges from metal plates with notches (a flat file) of a suitable size to the upper and lower parts of the mounting clamp. Please note that old meat grinders made of cast iron lend themselves better to welding. For smooth running of the clamp, you will need to additionally secure the guides.

Homemade pusher for potatoes

For this homemade product you will need only a grinder from a meat grinder, as well as a long hairpin and a handle from a grinder (go another electric tool). Grind the grate to a shine on sandpaper. Then we insert a hairpin into the central hole and fix everything on both sides with nuts. On the other side of the stud we fix the handle.

These interesting and useful homemade products can be made with your own hands from an old meat grinder - if not at home, then they will come in handy in the country. The main stages of work can be seen in the video on the site.
