You can make a booth for a dog that lives in a summer cottage or in a country house with your own hands from simple materials - wooden bars and boards. The size of the booth depends on the size of the pet.
At the same time, you do not need to make the booth excessively spacious, since in the winter the dog will freeze in it. But a small kennel is also not an option, because the dog will be crowded and uncomfortable in it. Measure the size of the pets in length and width, and then determine the dimensions of the booth.
The main stages of work
First of all, you need to saw 16 wooden bars of different lengths. Then we assemble two frames - you can use nails or self-tapping screws as fasteners. Then, using standard furniture corners, we connect the wooden frames with two horizontal bars. The upper crossbars are enough to fix on self-tapping screws.
In the lower part we fasten an additional drawer. We lay wooden boards on top (they must first be cut to size). In the extreme boards we make cuts for vertical racks.
The side and back walls of the frame are sheathed with wide boards, which are fastened with screws. Instead of boards, plywood sheets can also be used. The front side of the booth is also planked with boards. Then we grind the surface, make a marking and cut out the inlet (or hole), based on the size of the dog.
At the last stage of work, we erect a rafter system and sheathe OSB sheets. We fasten the roof to the piano loops so that it can be opened with one movement of the hand. See the video on the site for the entire process of making a doghouse.
