With this simple device, it is convenient to transfer sheet metal, channels, angles, as well as other products of “black” long products from place to place. Homemade works on the principle of a manual vise (still Soviet-made).
For the manufacture of such a tool, metal scraps will be required, which can be easily found in a garage, in a country house or in a home workshop. From the tool for work, a angle grinder, an electric drill and a welding machine are required.
The main stages of work
Two pieces of 7 cm long are cut from a steel strip, in which then you need to drill one hole.
Also, for the manufacture of this homemade product, two pieces of metal 2.5x2.5 mm 2 cm thick will be required, which will be used as clamping jaws. For a better grip on the surface of the jaws, it is desirable to make the notches grinder.
From these blanks we weld two identical L-shaped parts. Then they will need to weld 2x3 mm steel plates and 2 "grooves" - as a result, two halves of the tool should be obtained, which are then connected to each other using a bolt and nut.
Then between the two "grooves" you need to insert another bolt with a nut and washer, to the upper part of which it will be necessary to weld the link from the steel chain.
