Using a grinder is stationary - much safer, more convenient and more practical. If you make a cutting machine for metal from angle grinder, then the work will go faster and more fun. To do this, you will need to make a home-made table-platform, which is designed to work with a small angle grinder.
Of the basic materials for work, you will need: sections of profile pipes, a piece of sheet steel, large door hinges for outdoor installation (they are also called "arrows"). It will also be necessary to prepare a piece of metal round timber, which will be used for clamping with an eccentric.
First of all, we cut off a sheet of metal that is suitable in size, which will be used as the base of the table-platform for angle grinders. Next, mark the position of the loop on the base, after which we drill a hole in it for attaching the grinder to the gear housing.
The main stages of work
4 pieces (two long and two short) must be cut from the profile square tube (30x30 mm). They need to be welded around the perimeter of the steel sheet. Thus, the base will be located on the "pillow" of profiles, so that the cutting disc of the grinder does not hook the table when cutting metal.
At the next stage, we weld a patch loop to the base of the homemade table-platform (so that it rises and falls). Through the hole drilled earlier, then fasten the grinder. We weld a piece of the plate to the “arrow” of the door hinge, on which the power tool body will rest.
