We decided to cover the roof of the gazebo with bituminous tiles, but do not want to overpay with this money? Then there is a simple solution - to make a soft bituminous tile with your own hands. It will cost about 5-6 times cheaper.

To do this, you need to buy a roll of euroroofing material (or several rolls, depending on the amount of work), preferably at least 4-5 mm thick. The thicker the euroruberoid, the better it is, but it also costs more.

From one roll 1 meter wide, 4 stripes with honeycombs are obtained. The length of each strip is 10 meters. It is most convenient to cut the euroruberoid by rolling it along the entire length, and then you can cut it into pieces of the desired length.

The main stages of work

First of all, as mentioned earlier, roll the entire length of the roll. If this is not possible, then you can roll it out gradually, while folding the already chopped side.

Under the euroruberoid, you can put a piece of plywood, chipboard or some piece of thick plastic - in general, everything that is at hand in the country or in the house. For cutting strips with honeycombs, a construction knife is used.

As a template, a factory strip of soft tiles is suitable - just buy a couple of pieces (one strip will be left in reserve just in case).

After cutting strips of roofing material, they can be rolled up into small rolls and set aside. Installation of bituminous tiles, made by hand, is carried out using a stapler (staples 12 mm) and mastic diluted with gasoline.
