From unnecessary trimming of a sewer plastic pipe (preferably without sockets) with a diameter of 50 mm, a tube for storing and transporting electrodes can be made. Making this homemade product does not take much time.
The tube is convenient to carry in your hands, thanks to the presence of a handle. In addition, inside it, the welding electrodes will be reliably protected from moisture, thereby increasing their shelf life.
Now let's go directly to the process of making the tube. First of all, you need to trim the edges of the plastic pipe with a grinder.
Then a neck will need to be cut off from a five-liter eggplant (a total of two necks with covers will be needed).
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it is necessary to clean both necks and the inner walls of the sewer pipe (on both sides) with sandpaper.
Then, using a two-component contact adhesive, the author glues the neck from the eggplant into the holes in the plastic pipe.
The handle from the five-liter eggplant should be put on a plastic pipe before the second neck is glued. Otherwise, then it will not work. The result is a simple tube for the electrodes. Cheap and cheerful.
