The workplace (whether in a home workshop or garage) should be as convenient and practical as possible, because labor productivity directly depends on this.
As practice shows, to buy a workbench that would satisfy in all respects and at the same time fit in size is very difficult and costly.
Therefore, in this review, we bring to your attention the idea of how to make a home-made mobile workbench from a profile pipe. "Assembly" is budgetary, and therefore everyone can do such a desktop.
The main stages of work
First of all, from a profile pipe 40 * 20 mm in size, 22 workpieces with a length of 500 mm must be cut. From the profile, the master will then make the worktop of the workbench. Instead of a profile, you can use a sheet of metal of the desired size with a thickness of 5-6 mm.
Next, from the profile pipe 40 * 40 mm, two identical pieces with a length of 886 mm must be cut. All blanks need to be welded together - this will be the worktop of the workbench.
The next step is to weld the legs to the countertop. For this, the master uses a profile pipe 40 * 40 mm. Using a grinder, you need to cut four workpieces with a length of 800 mm.
We make additional elements
Next, from pieces of profile 40 * 20 mm, it will be necessary to weld a rectangular frame, and weld it to the legs of the workbench (in the lower part).
Then the master welds four identical frames, and welds them in pairs. A sheet of metal is welded to the bottom frame. The result is two shelves that are attached to the legs of the workbench using loops.
After that, all that remains is to weld the plugs from the plate to the ends of the legs of the legs, to which the swivel furniture wheels are welded. The author places a metal mesh on the lower shelf, and then welds it.
The final touch is grinding and painting. For details on how to make a mobile workbench from a profile pipe with your own hands, see the video on the website.
