Independently connect a two-gang switch in a house or apartment under the power of every man (however, at least basic knowledge about an electrician should be). You will learn how to do everything right in this article.

The first step is to prepare the switch itself, lampholders and wires. And note that to connect a two-gang switch, you will need a piece of a three-core cable. And you will also need a junction box.

Now we are moving smoothly from theory to practice. A three-wire electric cable must be connected to the two-key switch (most often these are three wires: in brown, blue (blue) and yellow-green insulation).

The wire in brown insulation must be connected to the common connector in the switch, and the other two cores - directly to the connector of each key.

The main stages of work

Next, in the junction box we start the supplying 2-core cable. Then all the wires in the box (the cores from the power cable, from the switch and the wires from two lampholders) will need to be cleaned from insulation.

The next step is to connect the common cable from the 2-key switch (the one that is brown) to the phase conductor of the power cable. And the zero core of the power cable will need to be connected to the zero wires that come already from the lamps.

After this, it remains only to connect the phase wire of the lamp (bulb holder) on the left and the wire of the left switch button. And then you will need to connect the wires that are responsible for the right lamp.

Twist must be insulated with electrical tape or you can use terminal blocks for wires. We check the operability of the electrical circuit, and then close the junction box. A detailed process for connecting a 2-key switch, see this video.
