Sometimes hand saws with a small and high tooth come across, which is quite problematic to sharpen. Usually a file is used for this purpose, but it takes a very long time.

How to be in such a situation? In this review, the author shares the idea, or rather, the method of sharpening a hacksaw with a small and high tooth at home using a drill with a diamond blade.

And the first thing you will need to securely fix the drill on a horizontal surface - in this case, on the desktop.

For this, the master uses two wooden blocks. And in them it will be necessary to make semicircular cuts so that you can firmly press the body of the drill. The bars themselves are attached to the table with a clamp.

The main stages of work

After the drill is fixed, it will be necessary to fasten the support board onto the self-tapping screw, on which a hacksaw blade will be located during the process of sharpening the teeth.

And note that the board must be set to the angle you need. In the place where it is in contact with a wooden block, the author chamfered with a knife for a more snug fit.

We turn on the drill, put a hacksaw on the support board and proceed to sharpening the teeth. The result is excellent, and most importantly - it is much better and faster than if you sharpen files.
