In this review, the author shows how to make a wooden floor in a private house with your own hands. There is nothing complicated here, so if you have the necessary tools, every man will cope with this work.
In this case, the rough floor from the board is ready. Therefore, it remains only to put the final floor of the board.
Of course, you can also lay linoleum, but then you have to fix plywood or OSB to the subfloor, which will lead to more expensive repairs.
To install the flooring, the author uses a 20 mm thick board.
The author decided to lay the floorboards along the room - perpendicular to the window. In this case, the joint of the boards will be less noticeable.
The main stages of work
First of all, the author cuts all the boards to the required size. This is convenient to do on the street.
Before laying boards, the rough floor needs to be prepared in advance - remove garbage and all that is superfluous so that it does not interfere with anything.
After that, we proceed to laying. As in the case of the laminate, we leave a small gap between the boards and the wall.
As already mentioned, all boards are laid along, so we join them together and fasten them to the subfloor with screws.
We cut the last board along the entire length to the required size, taking into account the expansion joint (at least 5 mm).
