In this review, the author shows the step-by-step process of manufacturing a decorative screen with a grill for a heating radiator.

The main material is MDF. You can also use plywood or particleboard.

Thanks to the stylish and beautiful decorative screen, there is no need to replace old, but reliable cast-iron radiators with new ones.

The first step is to measure the dimensions of the heating battery. You need to make a decorative screen so that there is a gap between the radiator and the inner wall of the screen.

First of all, the author cuts from the MDF blanks of the desired size. Then the front side will need to be painted.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, the author assembles the front panel of the screen - a rectangular frame. Then you need to fasten to it previously sawn planks from MDF.

When the front panel is ready, with the help of plastic mounts, the author collects the "pedestals" that are located at the edges.

A wide bar is screwed on top of the screen. You can also add additional decorative elements (at your discretion).
