In this review, we will tell you how to make an original decorative lamp made of wood in the shape of a star. The idea is very cool and at the same time quite simple to implement.
Preparatory stage
As the main material for this project, a tree is used. You can even put into circulation the trim boards remaining after the repair.
Using paper templates of the main parts, we do the marking on the prepared wooden blanks. Then we cut out the details we need.
In total, 10 blanks will be required, and five of them need to be mirrored.
Step-by-step work process
Folding the cut parts in pairs, we collect the star. Then we glue the blanks together.
At the next stage, we mark the locations of the lamps - for this it is convenient to use a pre-prepared paper template.
Then we drill holes with a crown on a tree with a diameter of 20 mm. Please note that the diameter of the holes is selected based on the diameter of the bulb holder.
Next, the surface of the star needs to be polished, and you can paint. In this case, the author uses a stain in the color of oak. On top of the stain is a matte acrylic lacquer.
The last stage is the installation of lampholders in drilled holes. So that the wires do not hang out, they can be fixed with ties.
