Wondered what to cook for dinner? Here is my easy-to-cook recipe for baked mackerel in the oven. The dish will definitely have everything for your family. Eating fish is very good for your health.
Mackerel is very common and affordable, affordable for everyone. It is usually sold frozen. A big plus of her is that she cooks very quickly, has very few bones, and tastes very good.
Bake mackerel in the oven
I take a small fish, if it is frozen, let it move a little, salt, foil.
I’ll cook without vegetables and extra spices, because the fish itself is quite tasty. I cut off my head and fins, rip open my abdomen, remove all the giblets.
I clean the carcass from the insides. I rinse under cold running water from a tap.
I let the excess water drain and spread the fish on the foil.
I rub the carcass with salt, give it a little soak, about half an hour.
Before baking, add a little frozen dill. You can add your favorite seasonings, vegetables to your taste, mayonnaise, etc.
I wrap the fish in foil, tightly press the edges. Mackerel itself is a rather oily fish and therefore it is not necessary to add frying oil.
I send it to the preheated oven to 180-200 degrees for about 20-30 minutes.
After cooking, let the fish stand for a while and soak. Serve with mashed potatoes.
The total cooking time takes approximately 2 hours. The result is a very satisfying, nutritious and tasty dinner.
Optionally, you can add your favorite seasonings to emphasize or enhance the taste of the fish. Although I like it that way.
When cooked in foil, mackerel does not lose excess moisture, remains very juicy and fragrant. That is why I often use this particular recipe, neglecting the usual frying or baking.
Bon Appetit!
