An interesting and unusual Christmas decoration can be made independently with the help of desire, a small amount of free time and a simple set of necessary materials.
To make a "knitted ball" you will need:
Gray thread; Hook No. 1.75; Billet - foam ball with a diameter of 5 cm; Glue "moment" or glue gun; Rhinestones or beads for decoration; Satin ribbon, width - 0.5 cm; Thin vanilla lace; Scissors, tweezers , lighter.
First, you need to crochet the ball with a crochet:
1st row - 3 air loops; further along the spiral, the 2nd row is the increase in each loop, then the two rows are the increase through the loop, the next 2 rows are through 2 loops. Slightly not reaching the middle of the ball, in each row there are 3 increases. When the diameter of the "coat" is equal to the diameter of the ball - knit several rows without increments, place the ball there. Then, until the end, a similar decrease in loops. The number of rows and loops depends on the yarn and the density of knitting, in this example we got 18 rows, we used “children's yarn” of 50 g / 200 m.
Before tightening the top, you need to fix the tape on it. Pre-pierce the foam slightly with a needle, place a bundle of tape folded into a loop with tweezers. Tighten the end of the knitting so that the yarn does not dissolve and the ribbon does not pop out.
At the "equator" of the ball, gently glue the lace, which will be suitable in color for this product. You can decorate the ball with ribbon bows, beads and rhinestones to match.
Such a New Year's ball is light and, most importantly, unbreakable, and rhinestones flicker brightly in the light.
