Instruments
In order to perform a pop-up style drawing, you will need quite a bit. First of all, these are felt-tip pens, scissors or a stationery knife, a small ruler, glue and, of course, paper. It is best to take a paper or drawing sheets for this purpose.
How to create a monster
First, a matched white or colored sheet of paper is folded to form a booklet.
Now, from the fold side, you need to draw a straight line, which will become the future beak of the monster. You should not lead it too high, otherwise the beak, bending when closing the page, will protrude beyond it.
The folded page is neatly cut with scissors from the fold side.
Now the angle is bent and a bend is formed.
Here's what you should get:
The next step is to make a fold at the tip of the beak. Everything is done in exactly the same way, that is, the tip bends in both directions, a clear line is formed.
After that, the page can be expanded. Here's what you should get:
To create a muzzle, it remains only to bend the formed triangle inward.
From the outside, it will look like this:
And here is the finished face of the monster:
Now you can make eyes. To do this, two identical parallel lines are drawn on the upper part of the muzzle from the outside:
Then they are cut and bent.
Here are the finished eyes:
Now the main part of the work: you need to paint the monster in any colors you like. You can draw a body or, for example, clawed legs. It all depends on the imagination of its creators.
When the drawing is ready, it remains only to close the hole behind the muzzle. To do this, take a sheet of plain white or colored paper (no longer cardboard).
It should be bent in half so that it matches the main page.
On the sheet, you can draw fangs, pharynx, flames. In general, everything that you want.
From the outside, the page is gently smeared with glue.
That's all, the clawed monster is ready. When you open the page, his mouth will move, amusing the child.
Options for such monsters can be different. Here is an example of a similar picture:
