To make the rug, I needed the following things:
- a small section of linoleum (the benefit was recently made repairs);
- acrylic paints (blue and white);
- a piece of paralon sponge;
- printed paper napkins;
- decoupage varnish;
- acrylic volumetric contours;
- PVA glue.
First, cut a square from linoleum, measuring 25 centimeters.
For my rug, I decided to make the corners rounded, so I put a round glass and carefully cut them with a stationery knife along the contour.
Now, apply a little white paint or white to the sponge and paint the surface with stamping movements.
I decided to do it this way.
The whitening of the surface in the decoupage is done so that the picture is brighter, since the napkin is very thin and passes through itself the color of the surface on which it is glued. Using glue, we fix the selected print on linoleum.
If there are several liked drawings, it is better to stick them one by one, after drying the previous one.
Since linoleum is a very flexible material, some sections of my motifs are creased, but this is not a crime. In the end, they will not be so noticeable.
After the glue dries well, you need to cover the resulting collage with several layers of decoupage varnish.
Then, after it dries, I applied a volume contour to the sponge with shines and the same movements as in the beginning I walked across the entire surface. In addition to the brilliance, this brought the picture a certain old age, which only added to its beauty.
Now we repeat the procedure of decorating the background with a sponge, only with blue paint.
From above, we cover all this with another 3-5 layers of varnish, so that the result from the work done does not remain on the bottom of the mouse. Once everything dries at room temperature, you can use the new thing.
In my case, I decided to make a standard square rug, but a flight of fancy in such situations can produce a lot of bizarre shapes and design options. Color, pattern and other parameters are selected solely by the nature of the computer user, because this will affect his ability to work. Not always too bright a spot on the desktop will add mood, sometimes it can just be annoying. Therefore, making such a little thing as a gift, take an interest in the recipient's preferences.
